Peyrelade Lake

A hike to the Peyrelade Lake (1919m). This spot is just north of the "Pic du Midi de Bigorre", a tall mountain of the pyrenees (2872m). You may have heard of this place if you are a fan of the Tour de France, since the cyclists ride by the "Col du Tourmalet" almost every year, which is less than 10km south.

On the first day I stopped to sleep at the "Vallon du Clot des Touts", close to an old mountain house in ruins -- a tree actually grew in the middle of the single room.
